A Mistake, A Prince and A Pregnancy…and cover copy!
I was thrilled when I got to see the cover blurb for A Mistake, A Prince and A Pregnancy at RWA…not so thrilled I didn’t write it down! But, I found it…online…and now I get to share it with you!
Mistake will be available www.millsandboon.co.uk on September first, and available in shops in the UK and from Amazon UK and Book Depository (free shipping worldwide) October 6th!
She’s given him a baby….
An IVF clinic mix-up means eternally single Alison Whitman is now carrying the child – no, the royal heir – of Maximo Rossi, Prince of Turan!
Now he’ll take her for his wife!
Maximo gave up on the hope of fatherhood a long time ago, but now the ruthless ruler will seize this surprise second chance.ย However, tradition is high on the Prince’s agenda, and he’ll never stand for an illegitimate heir…
Alison is about to find out that royal marriage is a command, not a choice!
A MISTAKE, A PRINCE AND A PREGNANCY will be released in the UK in October 2010 (Harlequin Presents/Modern)

Oh – I love the cover! And the story sounds devine too ๐
Ah, love it. Knew that wip was going places when I read it last year (yeah, I’m smug and you know it) and now to read the cover copy for it. Sigh. ๐
Thank you, Janette! It was a really fun book to write. ๐
Jackie, you definitely rock. And you saw this one with all it’s glitches. ๐
Love the new covers! And I just wanted to say that I loved “His Virgin Acquisition”. Great stuff. Caroline x
Aww…Caroline, you have absolutely made my day. It just makes me SO happy to know when people enjoy my books. Because ultimately, I write for my readers. :}
Ooh he sounds VERY ALPHA! The book sounds awesome and can I say again how sublime that cover is! I want it for myself ๐
Rach, I find him quite alpha. But I think he’s like a lion…no need to roar when it’s so obvious that you’re the man. ๐
Maisey, this book’s premise sounds like Sandra Marton’s “The Sheikh’s Defiant Bride” (2008).
I just read your book’s excerpt and it was really good and different from Sandra’s (although basic story is the same). I just wish the blurb was a little different so it didn’t make the two books sound so similar.
Hi Maurine,
I confess, I didn’t read Sandra’s. I didn’t even realize there had been an IVF storyline in Presents! *slinks away*
Glad you liked the blurb! ๐ If you get the book, I hope you enjoy it!
I didn’t think you had read Sandra’s and I don’t want you think I thought you got the idea from her. I read Sandra’s this year so it’s still fresh on my mind. When I read your blurb, I thought, I just read a book like that! It’s really strange that M&B put out another book with the same premise.
Granted, a lot of the books have the same general idea just presented differently, but since this idea is really kinda out there and unique (although has unfortunately happened IRL) it just stuck out to me.
With Sandra’s book, it was the first of a trilogy and my least fave of the three. I confess, I don’t know if I’ll read this book as I’m not totally into the premise. Don’t hate me! I do want to check out Her Virgin Acquisition though. I’m just trying to get through the stack of books I already have before I bring anymore into the house. ๐
LOL…of course I don’t hate you! To each his own! And I know ALL about the towering TBW pile of doom…
And yes, it does happen IRL, and right when I was working on it there was a big news story going about it and it was part of my inspiration for it.
I will confess, Maximo does not exactly force marriage. I think the blurb makes him sound a bit more GRR alpha than he is. They come to a mutual agreement based on what they feel is best for the baby.
Another reason I chose to go the IVF route was to explore two people who don’t know each other, and are utterly blameless in the pregnancy, having to now deal with sharing a child.
