The Land Stud
‘Memba him? Well, I got the title and release date for him today! Book #4…AKA The Land Stud will be released in April of 2011 in the UK with the title MARRIAGE MADE ON PAPER. Yay! *streamers*
And talking of release dates and titles…The Sheikh was titled forever ago, but I’m not sure I announced it! Bk #3 (yeah, I’m doing it backward. nyah) will be released in February of 2011 and it’s called THE INHERITED BRIDE.
So that’s my little bit of news…and…I wanted to share a couple of pics I stole..*ahem* that were **given** to me by Lynn Raye Harris.
There’s Susan Stephens, me, and Sandra Marton waiting to get into the RITAs ceremony.
And afterward at the Blue Zoo lounge…complete with our waitress’s thumb. Can’t be too hard on her though, she looked like she *really* needed a hamburger. *g*
Got any good news to share?
I have some more! Victoria Dahl is on the Sisters’ Blog today! Come get A Little Bit Wild! 🙂

You look gorgeous! And I love your dress – such a lovely colour. And yay on the titles! As to good news…um…nothing to add. Wish I did!
Thanks, Jackie, I love that dress. It was given to me some ten years ago when a loval bridal shop went out of business. It was mixed in with a bunch of horrible eighties bridesmaid dresses. Found the bag in a closet, pulled the dress out and hey…it fit! Can’t beat that!
Well…you went to RWAus and you met some cool people…that’s good news!
Gorgeous dress and photo! I’ve been lurking on the submission care group websites and heard that you had quite a backlist when you sold. How many manuscripts did you have piled up there? You’d never guess that you have small children, you have way too much energy ;-). Go on, tell us the secret.
Lacey, I do have a backlog…though I don’t know how many of them I would submit. Each one was a valuable learning experience, but I know I would have to rewrite them…so…may as well do new books. 🙂
A Mistake, A Prince and A Pregnancy is a book I wrote during my wait, as was The Inherited Bride, both were rewritten. 🙂 (The Inherited Bride was rewritten twice…but…who’s counting?!) and they were linked (Maximo, the hero of Mistake is the older brother of Isabella, The Inherited Bride) so it was a clear choice to me to sub them in that order.
Marriage Made on Paper was completely new, as are my next few projects.
Energy…I love what I do. Parenting is so different from writing and writing is a different beast from parenting, and each one allows me to change gears and recharge from the other. Does that make sense? It’s not a challenge for me, all the things I”m busy with bring me absolute joy, and that’s a good way to be busy!
Well done you! Congrats on the sale and of course, what a fab photo.
Cannot wait for sale number 5,6,7…etc… you get the picture!
heh! Thanks, Janette! Yes, must. Finish. The. Russian. *this is the book that neeve eennnddsss* ( I blame conference!)
It does make sense and you’ve sold me. I want to live your life. You’ll have to move out ;).
In all seriousness though, your productivity is incredible and I still think the fact that you can remember your name while you’ve got the little kidlets let alone write books makes you eligible for some sort of award!
🙂 If nothing else, I just hope it encourages people to try. And oddly, I still manage to waste plenty of time…
That girl definitely needed a hamburger. They all did in that place. Congrats on titles and releases. 🙂
Yes…yes she did. It was definitely not the most self-esteem raising bar to hang out in…
Lovely pics, Maisey. And great titles too! (Love that dress!)
Oh, thank you! 😀 I love all of the above!
