The Story Behind The ALPHAbet
Jane posted this on her blog, the true story behind what sparked the Presents ALPHAbet.
My darling son, Aidric, who will be four in April, is so smart he scares me. He knows his alphabet and he can read simple books. So he was sitting in my ‘office’ (Alani’s room) with me the other day while I was working on revisions, and he was looking at an animal book. He sees the word ‘Vulture’ and he says ‘Virgin!’
I have Presentsed the poor child. Now just wait until he asks what virgin means…

Kids just bring the greatest joy into our lives, don’t they? Now you can save this story and tell Aidric when he brings home his first date, his second date . . .
And, I have to say he is absolutely adorable. Love the pic. 🙂
Abbi
Of course! I’ll bust it out (along with the bathtub pics) when he has his first date! Oh, and I’ll have all my romance novels proudly on display…I’ll be such a horrifying mother!
Oh, such a CUTE pic! Abbi’s right, too adorable!
Yeah, he’s pretty much a super cutie. He has the cutest little voice too. 😉 Such a fun kid!
Just wait till he’s ten and wants to read ‘mummy’s books!’
Too funny! I was a very early reader too. I think that had a big part in my becoming a writer. You may have one on your hands soon! 🙂
Oh no! NO reading mommy’s books! Mommy did not read such a book until she was married and pregnant for the second time…although, had I read them I might have had an inkling about the shockingly high failure rate on birth control…LOL.
What a cutie pie! I LOVE all the things that come out of kids mouths! (Wish I could say the same about some of the adults in my life. Ha!)
Amy
Oh, he’s precious and I love that he knows his letters and is reading.
My little man is 5 in April, clearly a good month for talented kids. He is currently spelling out words and I have to tell him what word the letters make 🙂
How cute! Little boys are pretty wonderful.
Amy, yeah, I know. 🙂
